The Bench

Dear Corinne,

Lovely to see you at the weekend! I appreciated your help with clearing all the leaves in the garden before we sat down for tea and cake.

The photo this week has an autumnal edge to it, with the dead leaves on the ground and on the bench.

Look carefully at the photo for a moment or two and then in your imagination walk over to the bench, brush some of the leaves off with your hand, and then sit down on it.

Feel the warmth of the sun shining down on you as you take a few deep breaths…………………….
Let go of the things on your heart and mind by picking up a dead leaf from the bench, assigning a care or concern to it and then placing it on your hand and gently blow on it……………….watch it flutter away………….then pick up another leaf and repeat the process, leaf by leaf until you have let go of all you need to relinquish at this time…………………..

Rest for a moment or two in the stillness. When you are ready read the verses below:

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)

“What’s the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.”
Matthew 10:29-31 (MSG)

Hope you are having a good week!

with love,
