The Pathway

Dear Corinne,

Delighted to hear that last week’s photo brightened up a wet and dismal day and gave you a sense of peace and hope.

Today we are continuing with Psalm 23, and the end of verse 3 which reads:

“He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”

As you come to this time of stillness in your chosen location, take a few minutes to become aware of the sensations in your body. You can begin with your feet and take a few seconds to acknowledge any sensations in each part of your body as you move from your feet to your head. Or you can begin with your head and move down your body until you reach your feet! No need to dwell on each sensation, just acknowledge it for a few seconds and move on. Next take a deep breath in and let it out slowly, do this a few times. Then look at the photo below:

Look carefully at it………………………….
notice the location, the weather, the time of day
notice as many details as you can…………………

As you look, ask God what he is wanting to highlight to you through this picture……………………………………………….
take your time…………………………………….

Now place yourself in the location………………….
what feelings/thoughts emerge as you engage with the location/scene?………………………………………………….
What is God saying to you?……………………………….
What do you want to say to him?…………………………

Finally read these verses and then close with thanksgiving.

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”  Psalm 32:8 NLT
“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”  Proverbs 3:6 NLT

Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend!

with love,
