Given that the New Year is traditionally a time to reflect back, over the past year, and to look forward into the year ahead, days one and two will give you the opportunity to do just that.
Begin with a couple of minutes of stillness and silence, to let go of the things on your mind and to become aware of God’s presence.
READ: PSALM 32:8 (GNT)
“The Lord says, I will teach you the way you should go; I will instruct you and advise you.”
Take a few moments to reflect on the year that has past and to recall the times that the Lord did indeed, show you the way to go during it.
- How did he do this for you?
- Did you hear his voice and discern his will swiftly or did his guidance come more slowly over time?
- What did you learn from this process?
- How did it encourage you in your faith?
Turn your reflections into prayers for the year ahead and be thankful for his provision for you in the past year and his promise to be with you in this new year.
