The Sea-Salt Story Part 3

Dear Corinne,

I am delighted to see that, despite your busy life, you have signed up for the free six day trial of Sea-Salt!

You asked about the benefits of taking this journey…….well, as with many other Daily Reading schemes, these reflections are, in essence, a way to deepen your faith and grow closer to God and to receive the benefits which flow from this.

In his latest book, How to Pray, Peter Greig writes: “Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can: your soul is crying out for a deeper encounter with Christ and,

if your faith is to thrive for years to come,

if it is to survive the coming darkness and pain,

if you are to know and be known by Jesus in a richer more fulfilling way,

if you are to continue to engage with him when words no longer have meaning,

………you must make space in your busy life for regular meditation, contemplation and communion with God.”

As you rightly point out, people are very busy! Life is busy!

Sea-Salt recognises that people are busy and its format is designed to provide a short daily time of stillness, reflection and meditation for busy people on the move!

It can be done at home, in the lunch break, or on the move as people travel on bus or tram or train or plane!  Driving definitely not recommended!!

What are people saying about it?  The feedback has been positive and here are two reviews:

“Just love these Sea-Salt reflections.  They are readable, encouraging and rooted in God’s word, but with a contemporary twist that is often an easy conversational way in, to share Life and Hope with friends! “ Julia Terry, Project Manager at Jericho Road Project, Nottingham.

“Sea-Salt daily devotionals bring a beautiful balance of bite-sized accessibility and profound wisdom. Drawing on the deep well of Dorinda’s insight and experience, these devotions are made to measure anchor points, within the rhythm of the day – be it first light stillness at home, on my commute, with a cup of tea, or a moment of pause.” Dr Jim Robinson, Shelterbox, Cornwall,

Stillness, reflection and meditation are key ingredients in spiritual formation and transformation and are evident in many faiths…..leading to a deepening of faith and a greater sense of peace.

While taking time for stillness, meditation, reflection and contemplation will not prevent or protect you from the challenges of life, it can draw you closer to God and will help you to have an increased sense of well-being and peace to face whatever comes!

Looking forward to hearing how the Sea-Salt Journey goes for you!

with love,
