Journey to Pentecost
With Easter behind us these weekly reflections continue the journey started in Lent and travel on to Pentecost.
Journey Through Advent
Journey Through Lent
These written reflections are for the Journey through Lent, under the heading The Way of…with each week having a different theme.
Beside the Sea
Summer and seaside are, in my mind, as closely connected as fish and chips and bucket and spade! Growing up in the south of England, the journey to the seaside only took an hour and we would frequently go for day trips in the summer. So, given that we are now in the season of summer, our theme for the next fortnight will be BESIDE THE SEA. We will look at this by taking a theme for each letter of the phrase: B for beach, E for encourage, S for sea, I for insight, D for drown, E for enjoyment, T for tired, H for harbour, E for exit, S for sky, E for everywhere, and A for always.

The Passionate Man's Pilgrimage
Sir Walter Raleigh wrote the poem 'A Passionate Man's Pilgrimage' in 1618, the year he died. The themes in the first few lines, in many ways, sum up the key ingredients of our faith. This series considers these themes.
Miscellaneous
Lent
While there are many approaches to observing Lent and many topics which are considered during this season, this series takes a different route. It takes three topics for each of the letters of the word Lent and looks at: love, life, learn, everywhere, explain, expectations, now, new, nations, time, tenacity and treasure.
Advent
The church year starts in November, with the season of Advent. It is a time of preparation as we wait for the King to come: remembering the historic anticipation of the birth of Jesus, and also acknowledging that the day will come when Jesus once again returns to earth.
Facing the Challenge
The ‘Facing the Challenge’ series is a reflection on 2 Chronicles 20:1-30, under the headings of priority, prayer, prophecy, praise and plunder. How can considering this passage equip us for the challenges that life presents?
Looking at the Heart
This series looks at some of the instructions and promises concerning our hearts that are found in the Bible.
The Lord’s Prayer
This series invites you to reflect on the Lord’s Prayer under the headings of praise, priorities, provision, personal relationships and protection.
